Franck Amana – PHOTO winner June 2024

Franck Amana is Cameroonian by origin and nationality. He lives in Yaoundé, the city that stretches over 7 hills, the capital of Cameroon located in the southern part of the country hosting the 1st edition of the Phonematic Festival.

Photographer and web content creator, Franck Amana is passionate about the arts in general and photography in particular. A few years ago he decided to invest in photographing the beauty of the world around him.

Franck Amana is the winner of the Phonematic Photo Contest for the month of June 2024 in his first participation with a score of 10.25 out of 20. He is the first Cameroonian in the list of finalists after the Ivorians Franck Ismael KONE and Bleu Jean Marc SIA.

In June, he presented his photo book entitled Éclat Nocturne, a collection of photographs capturing the magic and beauty of urban nights in Yaoundé. Photos through which we can discover how light transforms the night into a living tableau, revealing unique perspectives and emotions. From streets illuminated by street lights to the sparkling reflections of shop windows. He says, “These images explore the very essence of the night and highlight moments hidden in the darkness.”
